My Goals/Intentions/Word for 2020

In 2019 I shared a post like this and it really helped me have something to connect back to when it came to reassuring myself that I was on the right path.  With this new year brings a new decade and that feels so rich for possibilities.  I'm both excited and calm going into this year and some pre-planning and reflecting before Christmas arrived gave me the chance to really sit with my thoughts and feel good about them before the actual new year was here.

My word for 2020 is ALIGNMENT.

And this calls to all parts of my life.  Personally, it means saying yes to the people, places, experiences, and things that call to my heart, and not feeling the pressure (mostly self-induced) to say yes when it doesn't.  Over the course of 2019 I came to terms with realizing I'm an empath.  I feel all the things in a room filled with people, and those things stay with me for a long time.  It helped me to figure out why or how I've reacted to things in the past as I did. As well as, why I've already cut some things out of my life, even watching the nightly news, I just don't do it anymore. I think that's why I've always had a positive attitude, in order to weigh out any negativity I was taking on from other people. I plan to dig into self learning this year.

Professionally, this means two things.  Working with the ebbs and flows of having a full-time job and a small business.  The balance is never going to be perfect, but by letting my passion drive me, I know my focus will be where it's supposed to be at any given time.

Secondly, working on alignment within our small business and this is both what we need to do as a business and what we need to do as people in order to feel good about what we're building here.  That spans from what events we participate in, who we collaborate with, to what product we sell and what message we put out there to the world.  I truly believe that if we follow our hearts, we will be happy with the results.

I'm hoping for personal growth, and growth in our business this year.

We wish you all the best for 2020; joy, love, and abundance to all.
